Developed collaboratively by Carroll Shelby and Ford’s legendary Special Vehicle Team (SVT), the GT500 was engineered to deliver uncompromising performance while honouring the raw spirit of classic Shelby Mustangs. Combining old-school muscle car aggression with modern engineering and refinement, the GT500 has become one of the most sought-after modern-era Shelby performance cars globally. This stunning example is NOW offered for sale since arriving in Australia in 2016 and presents in the timeless Shelby colour combination of Performance White with factory red racing stripes, complemented by a striking Black and White Shelby-appointed interior with full Cobra and GT500 branding throughout. At its heart lies the hand-built SVT 5.4L supercharged DOHC V8, producing a formidable 550HP, paired with the renowned Tremec TR-6060 6-speed manual transmission and twin-disc clutch system. The result is a truly visceral and engaging driving experience — delivering the raw sound, brute force, and unmistakable character that define the Shelby GT500 legend. Only 4150 examples of the GT500 Coupe were made and this is build no #4099/4150 and #422/455 in Performance White.

Importantly, this vehicle remains completely unmodified and retains its factory originality throughout, aside from its professionally engineered right-hand-drive conversion completed to full ADR compliance standards after importation to Australia. Delivered new through SVT Ford Performance in San Diego in January 2011, the vehicle was personally sourced, inspected, and imported by its second owner in 2016 before undergoing a high-quality RHD conversion by respected Mustang conversion specialists in 2018.

The vehicle also retains all its factory SVT and Shelby features, including the original satin-finish 19” SVT alloy wheels, Shelby exhaust system, Brembo brakes, illuminated door sills, and premium “SHAKER 500” audio system.
