We are very proud to offer to you this great opportunity in securing this stunning show winner "THE BEST" 1969 Holden HT GTS Monaro finished in Monza Blue with Sandlewood interior and absolutely perfect in everyway. This is the one for your Aussie car collection and for the first time on the market after a $$$$$$$ nut bolt restoration being found in a barn left for over 30+yrs. This iconic GTS Monaro was a very rare special order specification from new being a 253ci V8 matched to her original M21 4 speed manual gearbox. This car was second week production in 1969 and one of the rarest trim and colour combinations in HT production in fact she is recognised as the earliest running known factory 253ci V8 powered Monaro still running. In June 1969 the HK Monaro (1st gen Monaro) was replaced by the HT Monaro and was facelifted and this was the last of the home grown engines before Holden switched to the US powerplants. The street credentials were even more boosted due to Colin Bond & Roberts winning the Hardie Ferodo 500 in 1969 at Bathurst. Holden achieved their first Aus Touring Championship with the HT Holden in 1970 in the hands of Norm Beechey. This multiple trophy winning HT Monaro has won everything it possibly can from the Holden Nationals, Motorclassica, Melbourne Show Cars, Monaros in the Park, Monaro State Titles and much more, most probably the most awarded and decorated HT Monaro in Australia. Her period correct original 253ci engine mated to her original M21 4 speed manual gearbox and factory rear end. This iconic and head turning "Show Queen" won with a convincing 197/200 possible points with 3 only being deducted as the judges found her "too perfect" better then original with her awarded winning coachwork. Every switch, dial, knob, gauges, factory working radio, swing tags, date codes, factory swing tickets, every piece of this beast has been refurbished, replaced, rebuilt, restored and reborn. This painstaking total nut bolt restoration conducted over many years has been methodically done to exact perfection and her award winning achievements are proof of this dedicated resto. Way too much too mention and way too much detail to go into, the photo catalogue of the restoration comes with the sale and all her wards and trophies as well.
