For those who know, the Black Edition wasn’t just a badge – it was BMW turning the volume up on an already iconic formula.
Under the bonnet sits the legendary N55 3.0L twin-scroll turbo inline-six, producing 272kW and 465Nm (500Nm on Overboost). It’s raw, responsive, and paired with that unmistakable N55 soundtrack - metallic, aggressive and properly mechanical. This is the last of the original M2’s before the Competition switched to the S55 - and many purists argue this is the sweeter, more characterful drive.
Being a genuine Black Edition, this car features factory carbon mirror caps, carbon rear diffuser and black chrome exhaust tips. It also sits on the limited forged 19" 763M Black Edition wheels - a lightweight, motorsport-inspired design that perfectly fills the guards and sharpens the car’s stance. The look is completed with the addition of a menacing aftermarket carbon front splitter, giving it an even more aggressive and purposeful presence.
This example sits lowered on H&R springs for a sharper stance and improved body control, and has been tastefully upgraded with CPM chassis bracing and Carbon ARC front and rear strut braces. These aren’t cosmetic mods - they meaningfully tighten the chassis and elevate the M2’s balance, making an already great driver’s car feel even more planted and precise.
Inside, you’re treated to dry carbon fibre interior accents, black Dakota leather sports seats with blue contrast stitching, professional navigation, reverse camera, front & rear sensors and LCI LED lighting. The LCI update sharpened the headlights, tail lights and iDrive system – giving you the best of both worlds: raw M character with modern refinement.
Importantly, this car is equipped with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, making it just as usable as it is exciting.
