We are very proud to offer you this great opportunity to secure one of the most sorted and prepared 1973 Mustang "MACH 1" Fastback Coupe's on the market. This original, matching numbers example was originally delivered new in 1973, to LA California - so a dry "no rust" Pony car. This car represents the last of the US Muscle cars of the 70's and is iconic with unique body changes. This example has the factory matching, 351-4V, high-performance and very rare "RAM-AIR" engine, equipped with a Holley Sniper EFI System mated with 3 speed automatic C6 (which was better suited then the C4). The car has also been upgraded with a 9-inch differential complete with Trutrack gears and spline upgrade. This Mach 1 has been completely restored including engine rebuild and total body restoration and repainting. This has to be one of the best examples in Australia and is ready to be enjoyed with nothing to do as she is so complete.
Significant money has been spent on her in recent years including a Retro Sound radio replacement, fabrication and installation of front and rear seat belt points (certified and ADR compliance) and a complete refresh of the front suspension including arms, tie-rod ends, bushings, Koni shock absorbers and springs, steering box and alignment.
With an unmatched attention to detail, this Mach 1 is period correct in every way with her only addition externally being the stunning, 16" "centreline - Convo Pro" polished alloys, staggered to fill the rear guards out to uniquely finish her look in a very 70's way. The interior has been completely retrimmed in a period-correct, black Mustang, vinyl and the back seats are totally original to ensure she is a perfect recreation of this end of an era US Muscle Car, as she would have been enjoyed in the 1970's. All factory Mach 1 stripes and decals are new, and the the rear factory louvre and the front and rear factory spoiler are in perfect order. This perfection continues into the honeycomb front grille, including driving lights, body work, and all gauges working properly and spot on with gaps and joints. Both original and Shelby Wood steering wheel included.
