This Australian/Tourist delivered 230SL was sold new in 1965 and the 1st owner then arranged for pick up from the factory in Germany in RHD off course. He drove through Europe and then had the car shipped to Australia and delivered through MB Perth in 1965 after his tour. Owned by many years in WA then on sold within WA to Mr Brian Burke X Premier of WA a lover of many fine things well engineered this SL was in Mr Burke's custodianship for 20+ years he owned a number of SL's and was a lover of Mercedes Benz vehicles and was fastidious with their upkeep. Finished in her original colour combination of Silver Metallic with Black leather with tailored MB sheep skins her cabin is perfect and period correct as she was in 1965. The factory soft-top is in Black and she comes with 2 factory Pagoda hardtops one in Silver as seen here with matching factory hubcaps, plus she comes with a factory Pagoda hardtop in Black with matching hub caps also so you can fashionably change her look to suit your mood or look!!
