The Galaxie was Ford's flagship full-size for 1959 - longer, lower, and more dramatic than anything that came before it. With quad headlights, sweeping fins, acres of chrome, and a cabin wide enough to park a modern hatchback inside, it represents the golden era of American automotive design at its absolute peak. These cars were built to make a statement, and six decades later this one still does exactly that.
This is a genuine survivor in every sense - largely original throughout and extraordinarily well preserved. It has however been thoughtfully and sympathetically enhanced to complement its character rather than compromise it. A subtle period-correct lowering gives the Galaxie an even more planted, purposeful stance, and the addition of chrome rear wheel spats adds a beautifully authentic finishing touch that looks entirely factory. Neither change shouts - both simply make a stunning car more stunning.
Under the hood sits Ford's original 352 cubic inch V8 - honest, numbers-correct, and running beautifully. Inside, the gold and charcoal bench seat interior is remarkably well preserved. The ivory two-spoke steering wheel, sweeping dash, push-button controls, and factory radio are all present and correct - a genuine time capsule from 1959 America.
