The most powerful and fastest Aussie performance car built from HSV at the time. The magnificent and iconic "W427" was built in tribute to the 20th Anniversary for HSV. The name comes from the tribute to racing legend and owner Tom Walkinshaw, the "W", and the "427" represented the 427 ci or 7.0L LS7 V8 straight from the Corvette ZO6. It is also a nod to the HRT 427C, which won the 2002 and 2003 Bathurst 24 Hour motor races. This was the first Australian performance car to run a "Dry Sump" lubrication system and was a ground breaking car for HSV and Australia.

This very sought after W427 is build #36 and was owned by WAU Walkinshaw in a private collection in Clayton. She is totally original and untouched, exactly how you want such an iconic Australian muscle car. She comes with all her original letters from HSV, original order forms, certifications, HSV official documentation and the framed plaque each car received. This helps keep her authenticity and strong resale potential in the future. All her original service books/manuals/books/keys/lock nuts etc also come with the sale. She will be serviced on time purposes as she has been sitting in a collection for many years and this is the first time being offered for sale since new.

FULLY optioned with factory electric sunroof, rear overhead passenger DVD player and factory SATNAV - Blaupunkt system and finished in Phantom Black Metallic. 1 of only 33 cars to be painted this way out of the 137 cars built in total by HSV in Clayton. This is complemented by her matching "Redhot" Leather sports cabin and was the first Australian performance car to have the Ferrari inspired recalibrated Magnetic Ride Control (MRC, or “MagneRide”) and stiffer suspension settings than the HSV GTS. She also has a new machined finished exhaust system, larger 6-piston brakes, and strengthened limited-slip differential. With her 7.0L LS7 V8 engine developing 375KW or 510HP mated to a Tremec TR-6060 6 Speed Manual gearbox, the pure rawness and driving purity will always leave you smiling and wanting for more.
