Finished in 640 Iceberg Silver Supergloss Metallic, with Refurbished Black Factory Alloys, over a tasteful Recaro/Flocked Cabin, this Clio looks amazing and presents with some of the best colours/finishes available.

Paying Homage to the Renault 5 Turbo series, and to help Renault sell their new generation of Clio, came this incarnation of Madness from Renault in a collaboration with TWR (Tom Walkinshaw Racing)! The Clio V6 was presented in two iterations, Phase 1, and Phase 2.

For those that have seen, felt, and experienced one of these in the flesh will know just how insane they are, and why they’ve become such a highly desirable appreciating modern classic. Some journalists are still even claiming “Two decades on, the Clio V6 still seems gloriously bonkers.” - and that it is. For those who haven’t, have a quick google!

Throughout the course of hand made production only around 3000 Clio V6’s were made (Phase 1 & Phase 2). Around 1,631 of these were Phase 1 variants with only 256 of those being Right Hand Drive like this one. Due to the nature of these Clios, being an animal in the wrong hands, they’re a very few left available, let alone the lowest production RHD Phase 1 Variants.

These Clios, much like their Renault 5 Turbo predecessors, were well known for being an interesting all round sports car, and a handful in many instances, this has generated a cult following for them, along with some great respect from many high up in the automotive sector. This particular example was imported from the U.K to New Zealand in 2019 and M-Developments, Queenstown based unique vehicle specialists, have set out over the last several years to ensure this Clio is the best it could possibly be! Since her importation she has undergone a semi restoration to bring her back to a like-new condition!

She has had a full refinish in the Factory 640 Iceberg Silver Supergloss Metallic, along with the stripping of running gear/subframes to be freshened up, majority of the suspension components have been overhauled, or replaced, including the fitting of new rear brake callipers, and reconditioned front ones.

The engine remains the Factory 2994cc 230BHP V6, and has had all the timing gear done, fluids changed, along with a general check over. The gearbox has much the same story, freshly relined clutch plates, and a general check over. The addition of a Sports Exhaust gives her the note she deserves and looks superb.

The interior is a great place to call home during a spirited drive. The addition of Recaro fixed back bucket seats hold you in much better than the factory loungers ever would, and the Sparco Steering Wheel keeps your hands gripped and in control. The dash has been flocked to reduce glare, remove some questionable blue plastics in the interior, and give a little tip of the hat to the rally style Renault 5 Turbos that were before her.

All of the above goodness has been sealed in by way of a full detail including the application of a Ceramic Coating and PPF (Paint Protection Film) to the majority of the front and other hard wearing areas, by the specialists Deluxe Detailing in Queenstown.

This Clio V6 Phase 1 could well be the best all round package available on the market, she presents extremely well, and would slot into any collection or garage comfortably, as well as the above she also has these highly desirable features/options
