This iconic hatchback, finished in the exclusive Williams Blue F1 "449" metallic sports blue exterior colour, pays homage to the legendary Formula 1 partnership between Renault and Williams and Alain Prost's 1993 WC livery, making it a must-have for enthusiasts and collectors alike. Under the hood, the heart of the Clio Williams beats with a robust 2.0-liter 16-valve, 4-cylinder engine delivering an impressive 150 horsepower and 175NM torque mated to a uprated close ration 5 speed manual gearbox for pure driving immersion. This stunning examples is period correct in every way being persevered by her 5 owners from new with the last being the personal importer of this fine example to Australia and was part of fantastic EU collection. Believed to be 1 of only 2 examples in Australia this great William's F1 edition is build no #0395 /3800 cars initially built of the series 1 examples. The car was named after the then Renault-powered Formula One team WilliamsF1, though Williams had nothing to do with the design or engineering of this Clio. The modifications to the Clio 16S on which it was based were the work of Renault Sport, Renault's motorsport division. Nevertheless, this car had a Formula One link by being the sport's Safety Car in 1996 and in tribute to Alain Prosts 1993 World Championship. She has livery tribute "William's F1" logo's on the exterior/interior with color coded rear spoiler and integrated tailgate rare with integral front foglamps all in perfect order.

Another sign of fastidious ownership/custodian is the original service books, manuals, pouches, booklets etc come with the sale and also the very rare original sales/info brochure with Sir Frank Williams and the Williams F1 edition tech details when she was released which is very rare to find and also comes in the sale for great preservation for her future values and authenticity. out of the . NO modifications have been added or done to this collectable French hot hatch and her factory gold 15 "Speedline" alloys are in perfect order and her stunning totally original untouched factory interior is excellent including the original Williams blue carpets and blue gearshift knob all in tact and great order. Even the factory "Phillips" stereo cassette system in intact and all gauges and switch gear in superb order including all her door cards and trims are brilliant, she is untouched and kept as she was new. Her factory styling body kit with flares and bonnet bulge is in excellent order and all original stickers and even the rear hatch "suit" holder in still in fantastic order and her extra enhancements for her F1 pedigree included upgraded suspension, subframe borrowed from the Clio Cup Racers, her upgraded springs, dampers, torsion bars and bushes and thicker anti roll bars with her wider track of 34mm gave her a very tuff stance and road presence. THIS ACTUAL CLIO HAS BEEN FEATURED IN 2025 WHEELS MAGAZINE DUE TO THE CARS SIGNIFICANCE.
